How to carry out the skin cancer check on your own?
Now that you have what you need, you can start to look for any signs of skin cancer. Starting with your head, look at the face, ears and check under the chin. Next, look at your neck and scalp. You may have to part your hair to get a good look at the skin. Afterward move down to inspect your upper arms and forearms, turning them as you go. Look closely at your hands, between your fingers, the palms and under your nails. Then look at your chest and stomach area. Women must look under their breasts as well.

How to inspect difficult areas in your skin cancer check
Some areas can be hard to look at properly, so sit on a chair and put your leg on the other chair or on the edge of your bed. Now you can examine your genitals, inner thighs and, using a hand mirror, you can check all around your lower leg and the sole of your feet. Don’t forget to check in between your toes as well. Standing again, use the hand mirror to check areas on the back of your body such as the back of the upper arms, upper and lower back, buttocks and the back of your thighs. Use the SkinVision app to save any photos of suspected spots. And contact your doctor if you don’t try a certain mole or skin spot.
