Daily Mail: How my phone saved my life – Woman’s mobile told her she had skin cancer

The app told her a patch of skin discoloration on her leg was cancerous and required urgent medical attention, potentially saving her life.

Marie Stantiall downloaded the SkinVision app, which analyses skin spots in seconds and alerts the user whether they are a low, medium or high risk of developing cancer.

The woman from Marton in New Zealand’s North Island was given a red ‘high risk’ alert, and discovered a spot on her leg was the deadly melanoma, NZ Herald reported.
